Two Promotions following the successful Chattam & Wells launch

LasVegasMarket
As we come away from the Las Vegas Market I am reflecting on all that we have accomplished in the last year bringing us to this moment. The launch of Chattam and Wells is the most ambitious product endeavor we have ever brought to market in our nearly 60 years of operations.
Just over a year ago we started a process of defining what Chattam and Wells means in the current market. I believe we have created something special here in Fresno, CA, which has the potential to solidify our place as a creator and producer of premium mattresses.
Getting to this moment was not a single person effort nor was it solely on the shoulders of a small team.  To bring this product to market our company worked together in all areas. We listened to each other and acted on that feedback to make these models uncompromising with the authenticity the market expects in Chattam and Wells.
The Chattam and Wells product creation was a team effort. However, a successful team requires some of those members to lead. There are two individuals that shouldered the mantle of coordinating and filtering the feedback to align our desires and abilities with the marketability of these products. In acknowledgement of their efforts and the accolades we have received so far I am pleased to announce the following promotions and new titles:

Mike Moore - Director of Sales and Marketing The addition of the Marketing title acknowledges Mike's ability to be a creator and marketer of products in addition to his wisdom and experience is selling them through to market. Thank you Mike for shepherding Chattam and Wells to market. Please read Mike's Bio below to learn more about the path that brought him here.

Jennie Schuh - Marketing and Creative Manager Jennie joined our company a few years ago to fill a need for a designer. While with our company she has increased her abilities and developed into a excellent manager of people and process, informed by her design instincts and market research. Thank you Jennie for being the midwife to Chattam and Wells. Please read Jennie's bio below to learn more about her path to this company.

JennieSchuhPromotionJennie Schuh graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 2007 with a Bachelor of Fine Art with concentrations in Graphic Design and Photography. She got her first exposure in the film and television industry working in various capacities on productions in the Carolinas. She was set to move to London with her friend,Beth, but on a whim the pair decided to pack up and move to Hollywood. They drove across the country with little but their optimism and Beth’s enormous dog Cael. After bouncing around the biz (which included time spent as an extra) Jennie landed at a company in Pasadena that provided the digital effects for various film and television productions, which allowed her to continue to foster her creativity and design skills. Jennie eventually worked at another production house as well.

She was doing freelance design work when her boyfriend at the time (now husband) was offered a position in his hometown of Fresno. Much to his surprise, she was more than open to the idea of moving to Central California after spending 5 years in Los Angeles. She was hired at Pleasant Mattress in April of 2013 in a marketing and design role, and jumped with two feet into the mattress business. Based heavily on her creative involvement in the resurrection of the Chattam and Wells line, she was promoted to marketing and creative manager in December of 2015.

She lives in Fresno with her husband and precocious yellow lab.
